Supporting a Healthy Local Food Economy for Huerfano County

The farm stand at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center will be open to the community on Friday’s beginning June 30th from 2-5pm in the pergola next to the main entrance to the hospital. The stand will be open through the end of the growing season. Produce at the farm stand will be naturally grown and local.

Sustaining and supporting a local food economy
not only secures a community, it creates one.

A goal of the project is to work collaboratively with local farmers to support aspiring producers in creating a stable and sustainable place to launch their agricultural businesses while at the same time addressing county wide food insecurity as well as risk of illness that might be improved through diet.

If you are producing and would like to sell fruits or vegetables at the farm stand this summer please contact Marissa Mayer, SPRHC Health Coordinator for an application @ 503.714.5772 | SpanishPeaksFarmStand@gmail.com
