Saturday, October 1, 2016 – 30th year
Coming Saturday October 1st 2016, Nestled in the Mountains of La Veta Colorado, Music this year will be provided by The Rifters and Returning favorites Das Edelweiss. Offering over 115,000 Square Feet of venue there will be plenty to see.
The Rio Grande Scenic Railroad will operate a special train on Oct. 1 … offering a great opportunity to enjoy a ride over beautiful La Veta Pass … where the colors should be in full GLOW! … with time to enjoy the 30th birthday of the La Veta Oktoberfest!
Here is a brief description of the trip – “Can’t make it to Munich? Come raise a glass with us instead and celebrate Oktoberfest in the Rockies. Board our train in Alamosa to try a selection of beer inspired by the season from the SLV Brewery. Live music will be played in the Club Car and a variety of food choices will be available for purchase. An extended stop in La Veta will let you explore the town’s German Bier Garden and festival booths before you let us do the driving back to Alamosa. See you aboard!”
