Built in 1903, the Kincaid Building has long been a part of La Veta’s history and downtown. The upstairs was once a dance hall, movie theatre, meeting place, even a church! In 2007 it was restored to a luxury suite available for short-term rental.
In the heart of La Veta, this unexpected treasure is close to shops, restaurants, art galleries, the museum, and it is just across the street from the La Veta town park. It is a comfortable walk to the Grandote Golf Course and a pleasant ride to Cuchara.
We were searching the country for the perfect hotel to purchase, and as we narrowed our search to Colorado, we stumbled upon the La Veta Inn. This quaint mountain town nestled at the base of the Spanish Peaks caught our attention and drew us in, as it’s done to so many others who had never been here before. The property had sadly been closed and was desperately in need of someone to come to the rescue.
We fell in love with the beautiful patio and details of the property and knew this was the place for us. It wasn’t long after Ali and I too found La Veta to be our home. Ever since we’ve been working hard to make the hotel a place to remember.

A Friendly little RV Park located in the charming town of La Veta, Colorado on the “Highway of Legends” scenic byway. We are a seasonal park open from May 1 thru Oct 7. Come up and escape the summer heat.
