For nearly a century, generations of families have cherished a return to The Yellow Pine Guest Ranch, layering memories upon memories here in the heart of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range of Southern Colorado. Historic barns of hand hewn timbers with rail corrals and fencing grace this 150 year old, 100 acre ranch nestled in the Cuchara Valley at an elevation of 8,650 feet. The crystal clear Cucharas River cascades for two miles through Yellow Pine’s lush meadows and soaring pines, replenishing our fishing pond and happily watering our horses – as well as our souls. Come sit a spell on its bank, watch the kids play at our playground, challenge a friend to a game of horse shoes or volleyball, enjoy a trail ride with our wrangler, fish in our private stocked pond or hike to the peak of the Dakota Wall – all without ever leaving the ranch. Treasured memories await the making! Whether you are planning a getaway for just the two of you, a family reunion, or a group retreat, our magnificent ranch provides the perfect setting, truly a gem of Southern Colorado.
