LA VETA— Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 13, 8 a.m.  This one-hour slideshow and lecture provide a solid introduction to wildflowers and plant ID and foraging. Located at the La Veta Public Library. $10 per person. Sample plants will be available for study, including deadly poisonous ones, which are important to know and ID. Presented by local interpretive naturalist, Bob Kennemer and the Spanish Peaks Outdoor Center.
