DESCRIPTION:Art in the Park is back in La Veta on July 3 and 4\, and this year it carries some extra weight.\n\nThe Spanish Peaks Arts Council turns 50 this year\, Colorado turns 150\, Huerfano County turns 165\, and the country turns 250. \nThe annual arts and crafts fair features handmade work and original art in a variety of mediums\, plus local food\, right in town for both days.\nLa Veta’s Independence Day parade runs Friday the 3rd and Cuchara holds theirs on Saturday the 4th\, so the whole valley is moving this weekend. \nIf you’re an artist looking to show your work\, booth registration is open now at spanishpeaksarts.org/art-in-the-park.  \nEnjoy live music\, delicious food\, and a welcoming community atmosphere—all with free admission!
