SUMMARY:Delta Sonics featuring Ken Saydak
DESCRIPTION:The Delta Sonics Blues Band takes a Chicago Blues base and seasons it with Swing\, Delta\, N’awlins R&B and some early Rock n’ Roll. They’ve been playing in Colorado since 1992\, and have established themselves as one of the finest blues acts in the area with their solid musicianship and exciting live performances. \nAl Chesis supplies vocals & foot stomping showmanship but it’s his harmonica playing that grabs you. Al has played in Colorado since the mid-1980’s after moving to Denver from Washington\, D.C.  He has also done studio work for two PBS movie soundtracks and Denver area radio stations\, including KBCO\, KUVO and the FOX. Al has toured locally and nationally with Muddy Waters’ son Big Bill Morganfield\, appearing at venues in Canada\, Utah\, Florida and Wisconsin\, as well as at the prestigious Chicago Blues Festival in 2002.   He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Colorado Blues Society in 2022. \nBob Pellegrino supplies the dazzling\, slide guitar. Bob was the Colorado Blues Society’s best slide guitar player in three years in a row. DESCRIPTION:Advance tickets… $18  ;  Day of show.. $20 \nJack Hadley was born in the Philippines into a military family. When they returned to America\, they were stationed in San Francisco where he spent his childhood in the Haight-Ashbury district. Jack’s mother bought him an acoustic guitar at an early age to keep him busy. The family eventually moved to Denver\, Colorado\, where he learned to play music by ear\, playing everything from Hendrix to Dylan\, unaware that he was learning the foundation of American music – the Blues. \nJack played in a number of bands\, sharpening his guitar skills and discovering his vocal talent along the way. He began performing as a solo artist and played countless shows as a hired gun. In 2005\, Jack decided to focus on writing and performing his own blues-based material with his trio\, The Jack Hadley Band. That same year he was playing at a local club when he was approached by blues veteran Otis Taylor\, who happened to be in the audience.
