Lake Isabel is a favorite vacation spot in the southern Wet Mountains, offering picnic areas, a campground, and several parking areas scattered around the lake. There are also a number of private vacation homes on the north shore and cabins you can rent at “the Lodge.”
The lake welcomes non-motorized boats for fishing in waters stocked with brown and brook trout. You may even find a paddle boat for rent.
Nearby Snow Slide and Cisneros trails offer hiking and biking. Cisneros Trail is also open to ATVs.
Campers can pitch a tent at La Vista Campground, set in a meadow overlooking the west side of the lake. RV-ready Southside Campground accepts rigs less than 30 feet long with no hook-up requirements at pull-through sites.
This gorgeous multi-use area commands respect. Be Legendary and Care for Colorado when you visit Lake Isabel by staying on designated routes, following fishing and camping regulations, and being aware of fire restrictions. Enjoy this area responsibly!
