HUERFANO COUNTY TOURISM BOARD

MISSION

In November 2006, County voters passed a lodging and tourism tax to promote Huerfano County as a destination. The Huerfano County Tourism Board independently manages those funds and promotes the County as Spanish Peaks Country.

The mission of the Huerfano County Tourism Board is to enhance the quality of life for residents by bringing visitors to our county, having a positive impact on our economy while preserving our environment and culture.

Greg Garrett

Board Member

After a long career in the aerospace industry, Greg moved to Southern Colorado to embrace a slower way of life. He and his wife now own La Veta Pines RV Park. Greg interacts daily with visitors from around the country and enjoys their stories of what brought them here and the adventures they have had while visiting Spanish Peaks Country. He brings this real-time feedback to the tourism board in hopes of enhancing the visitor experience.
