The annual Dog Days of Cuchara is going to be held Saturday, August 7th! The street party will be from 11:00am – 3:00pm followed by a Corn Hole Tournament at the Dog Bar & Grill. Enjoy big dog and little dog races, ninja obstacle course, scavenger hunt, kids games and more. This year be sure to stop by the Dunk Tank for a La Veta Fire Auxiliary fund raiser, all proceeds go to the fire auxiliary and the people who work hard to keep this valley safe!

Also, if you are looking to add a new furry friend to your family From Forgotten to Forever Animal Shelter will have a few dogs available for adoption. Dr. Hecht along with the Walsenburg Animal Control Officer will be there to give out dog vaccines, donations are welcome! Come out to main street in Cuchara for a Dog-Gone Good Time!
