There will be live music at outdoor venues in both communities and well as special attractions for the whole family. The Spanish Peaks Art Council (SPACe) hosts Art in the Park in La Veta every year on the weekend closest to Independence Day. During this art festival, all kinds of handmade arts, crafts, jewelry, apparel, paintings, ceramics, wood, and more are available for purchase. There are no factory-made items at this event nor are there admission fees. There is, however, live music and great food, so it’s easy to make this a day-long event.
